Paul is a tireless champion of young people and has over 40 years experience working for and on behalf of young people.
Paul is the founder of Voyage and has built the organisation from delivering workshops and courses into a vibrant organisation supporting young people over a dedicated 4 year journey to see them rise as leaders.
Paul is passionate about ensuring the voice and contributions from young people it works with are deeply embedded into how the charity is run, organised and managed.
Martin Nsiah is a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). He was admitted as a fully qualified chartered member of the ACCA in November 2007, and holds a master’s degree in business administration specialising in international banking.
Before joining Voyage, Martin worked with SB Afolayan & Co Accountants and with Afrikids, an international children’s charity. In 2008 he joined the Limbless Association, a charity representing and supporting Amputees in the UK, rising from Finance Officer to his current position as Head of Finance and Operations.
Margo joined Voyage as an Education and Sustainability Consultant to write our Young Leaders for Sustainable Cities BTEC course in 2021.
Margo has over 15 years senior management experience devising educational curriculums and is currently supporting the production of Voyages third youth leadership BTEC level ii qualification called Smart Cities. Margo brings a wealth of experience supporting our fundraising plans as well as supporting other educational projects and programmes.
Rene is a master teacher, trainer and educator and has over 35 years’ experience working with professionals (teachers, youth workers, corporate partners and young people) and has a wealth of experience centring his work in communities.
Rene specialises in group facilitation in conflict resolution / team building/ self-development / one to one coaching/ resilience and consultancy, delivering training in conflict resolution, working with challenging behaviour, anger and aggression, race and diversity, mediation, coaching, gangs and territorialism and supervision.
Sarah is a governance consultant working with Boards across the not-for-profit sector. Her focus is on helping Boards work in strong collaboration with the Executive team.
Her role is to lead the transition from the former Trust to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. This process includes auditing governance systems, welcoming new Board members who bring their own professional networks and expertise, and streamlining systems to enable smooth, effective governance.
Ismail is an experienced educator and leader at Voyage with a wealth of management experience as a deputy head of pupil referral unit in south London and being one of Voyage’s founding tutors and educators since 2012.
Ismail leads on Voyage’s Special Projects in the employability and mentoring space and works closely to align Voyage’s dynamic pool tutors, youth advisory board and the wider staff team to Voyage’s extensive and complex projects and programmes.
Haezle is Voyage's Financial support and Administration lead and is a proud graduate of Voyage.
Haezle's main roles include maintaining Voyage's- ever growing financial management needs and supports data management, collection and analysis to ensure Voyage provides detailed reports to investors, donors and funders. Haezle brings a wealth of experience supporting senior management teams to thrive and ensure Voyage's donors and partners are in regular contact.
Djamel is a software developer with professional experience in both data engineering and website development, and is a proud graduate of Voyage.
Djamel's main role at Voyage is to assist with the development, planning and management of programmes such as the Young Leaders for Smart Cities BTEC level ii qualification, as well as finding new ways to integrate innovative technology into Voyage.
Voyage Trustees
Nick Marshall is Senior Partner at Branding agency, Made Thought, part of the AKQA group (a WPP company) and advises many companies and brands internationally on all aspects of purpose, communication and creative strategy.
Throughout his education and career he has enjoyed working with young people helping them to reach their full potential. Nick joined the Voyage board in 2020 and works with the team on future vision, positioning and outreach to the corporate sector. Nick lives in Hackney with his partner and son.
Kosi is an experienced public servant, currently holding the role of a Lead Policy Advisor in the Department for Business and Trade. In her early career she worked in the not-for-profit and private sector, coordinating programmes that supported individuals on their leadership journeys.
Kosi has several years of experience working with young people both in the UK and abroad. Kosi believes in inspiring a generation and brings her passion, enthusiasm and expertise to support Voyage with a focus on how the organisation delivers youth engagement initiatives. Kosi sits on the Board of Trustees and on the Digital and Programmes Committee.
Katrina is an experienced business owner and leadership specialist who focuses on disability rights and access. Katrina has a passion for supporting young people and ensuring they are included in the formation of policies that affect them.
Katrina supports Voyage on expanding our community and commercial partnerships to assist with project and programme development whilst supporting the development and implementation of Voyage’s youth led strategy. Katrina sits on the Board of Trustees and is also on the Finance, Governance and Risk Committee.
Donata is a gradate of Voyage and is a London-based Curator, particularly interested in Black British diasporic history, contemporary East Asian culture, colonialism and contemporary collecting. Her current research interests lay within British colonial legacies, and the presence and power of African and Asian Diaspora. Donata is currently Assistant Curator Africa and Diaspora for the Victoria and Albert Museum. She also works as an independent curator and a co-founder of the Museum of Dissent Collective.
She is motivated to support young people from under-represented backgrounds to develop to their fullest potential. Donata joined the Voyage Board in 2018 and uses her lived experience to support Voyages expansion. Donata sits on the Board and also on the Digital and Programmes Committee.
Ola Okuwobi-Dabiri is a Real Estate professional with experience in Debt Finance, Business Strategy, and Financial Modelling. His current position is as a Partner for Maia Real Estate Group. Ola has a track record for delivering for financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank, PwC Strategy and HSBC Investment Banking.
During his first year at Imperial College London, while studying Engineering, Ola started a charitable organisation to empower young, underprivileged people to develop their potential. His motivation for this mission remains, making him a staunch ally of Voyage. Ola sits on the Voyage Trustee Board and Chairs the Finance, Governance and Risk Committee.
Tanya is the Sustainable Housing Pathway Manager at Enfield Council, leading a team of housing professionals for the borough in her public sector role. Tanya is also an inclusivity activist, campaigner and influencer, and since 2015 has campaigned on living well with endometriosis and ileostomy.
She founded a platform to advocate for people living with endometriosis, to show how anyone can have a rich and fulfilled life whilst also having a chronic illness. She also advocates for body positivity, and inclusivity, featuring on platforms such as Unhidden, Huff Post, Yahoo News, Boots, and The Female Lead amongst others. Tanya is a Board member of Voyage and sits on the Digital and Programmes Committee.
James is a clerk at the House of Lords. He is currently the Chief of Staff to the Clerk of the Parliaments and has previously been the Private Secretary to the Lord Speaker, worked on select committees covering diverse topics, supported the independent Commissioner for Standards in the enforcement of the House of Lords Code of Conduct, and parliamentary adviser to the Foreign Office.
For many years he has been closely involved in the work of ParliREACH, Parliament's workplace equality network focussed on race, ethnicity and cultural heritage. James is engaged and inspired to support stronger governance and diversity and inclusion principles and is motivated by social value and social justice. James is part of our Finance, Governance and Risk committee and a Trustee on the Board.
Siobhan’s career spans international roles in tax, government advisory, real estate entrepreneurship and the charity sector. Her early career includes consulting with PwC and leading the inaugural evaluation programme for UK partner charities at GlobalGiving UK. Currently mentoring minority women, her focus on mentoring and empowerment is her motivation for joining the Voyage Board.
Outside her commitments Siobhan finds peace volunteering at her local city farm and enjoys advancing her study and knowledge of wine. With a passion for youth empowerment, advancement of the global majority, professional expertise and personal growth, Siobhan sits on Voyage’s Trustee Board and on the Fundraising and Partnerships Committee.
Toby is the Skills Lead for Multiverse, an EdTech unicorn which specialises in data and technology apprenticeships. He brings a breadth of expertise, from primary school teaching and secondary education in his early career, to his current focus on the relationship between technology and education. Building on his experience as the youngest Assistant Headteacher in the country in 2021, Toby’s specialism lies in his understanding of education curriculum, from a digital perspective.
Toby’s additional skills in data monitoring and evaluation, and his practical understanding of digital systems to assist and advance learning, comes alongside his nuanced understanding of how young people relate to technology. Toby is committed to developing young leaders reach their full potential. He sits on the Board of Trustees for Voyage and supports the Digital and Programmes Committee.
Voyage Patrons
Following the tragic murder of his son Stephen Lawrence, Dr Lawrence has been a powerful advocate for transformation and change in Police relations with diverse communities and in particular young people.
Dr Lawrence is a committed advocate for marginalised, oppressed and voiceless communities and has been a tireless supporter of Voyage since it inception in 2002.
Leee John is an British musician, singer, and actor of St. Lucian descent. Leee rose to fame as the lead singer of the 80s soul band Imagination and grew up in a inner London comprehensive school.
Leee is a passionate community advocate and when not in the studio or on stage Leee devotes his time to supporting Voyages fundraising and inward investment strategies and partnerships.
Leroy is a former superintendent and a highly respected and well regarded commentator on Policing in black communities.
Leroy was the long standing chair of Voyage in its previous guise as the Back Police Association 2002 and remains connected to Voyage to ensure its historical roots continue to shape and influence how Voyage operates and runs.
