Voyage actively participated in the Climb Over project, a three-way European partnership involving Croatia, Latvia, and the United Kingdom. This EU-funded exchange event was designed to delve into the complexities of imprisonment and its subsequent impact on the long-term employment opportunities for young individuals.
A team from Voyage joined forces with their European counterparts to facilitate a series of overseas visits. These visits aimed to investigate how criminal activities hinder the progression paths of youth, particularly those who already face significant barriers in their lives. The project provided a platform for these young people to gain a broader perspective by examining the approaches adopted by European partners in managing crime.
One of the key highlights of Voyage’s involvement was organizing a trip for eight youth organizations from London to a prison in Latvia. This gathering served as a large-scale, Europe-wide collaboration event, where participants engaged in in-depth discussions about the challenges posed by crime. The event offered a unique opportunity for the attendees to explore and understand the various ways in which crime can affect an individual’s journey towards a brighter future.
Through these initiatives, Voyage has demonstrated a strong commitment to empowering young people and providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate through life’s challenges. The Climb Over project stands as a testament to the power of international cooperation in addressing critical social issues and fostering positive change.
