Voyage Voices – Empowering Young People to Create Change
Amplifying young voices is at the core of Voyage’s mission, empowering them to shape the future with confidence and purpose. We believe that when young people are heard, they have the power to shape a better future and drive meaningful change in their communities and beyond.
Voyage Voices is a dynamic programme designed to equip young people with the skills, confidence, and platform to explore solutions to critical societal issues.
A Platform for Change
Young people are at the heart of this programme, using written articles, photography, and videos to explore critical issues in fields such as Safety and Policing, Sustainability, Technology, and Heritage. Over the course of 10 weeks, they'll engage in expert-led workshops, gaining industry insights and technical training to bring solutions to their ideas to life.
From media production to public speaking, participants develop essential skills while tackling real-world challenges, culminating in powerful content that raises awareness and sparks conversation.
Guidance from Experts
Through workshops led by professionals in various fields, young people receive hands-on support in:
- Content Creation – Crafting impactful videos, photography, and written pieces
- Journalism & Communication – Refining their message to inspire change
- Industry Insights – Learning from experienced mentors and guest speakers
Real-World Impact
Voyage Voices is more than a creative exercise—it’s an opportunity for young people to make a difference. Participants’ work is showcased on public platforms, shared with partner organisations, and used to influence discussions on key social issues. Selected participants also gain paid work experience with Voyage, helping them to bring their campaigns to life!
