Aim for Success: Cultivating Talent, Celebrating Diversity

The training segment of Voyages' Aim for Success work experience scheme has recently concluded, and the results are nothing short of remarkable. As we look back on the journey, it’s clear that A4S has made significant strides in empowering young people of colour with the skills and opportunities they need to succeed in today’s competitive job market.

The programme has had a number of impressive metrics:

Engagement - The programme began with an overwhelming response, with almost 100 applicants eager to participate.

Interview Rate - The statistics speak volumes about the efficacy of the A4S programme, with 76.5% of applicants who completed the programme securing interviews with at least one of our partners. This showcases the programme’s ability to prepare candidates effectively for the job market.

Partner Engagement - The programme has experienced remarkable partner engagement. A diverse array of companies have stepped forward to offer work placements.  The involvement of these partners is a testament to the programme’s past success and the high calibre of participants that it creates. It’s a powerful endorsement of Voyages' mission.

As we reflect on this journey, it’s clear that its impact extends far beyond immediate work experience. A4S has proven to be a catalyst for change, a programme that not only opens doors for individual young people, but also paves new pathways for the future of people of colour in London.
